Twenty Years Of Bob's Tgirls Goodness!

This month, the excellent trans porn website Bob's Tgirls is celebrating twenty years of being online. The site is loaded with over 700 gorgeous trans models all shot by site founder and creator Bob Maverick. It seemed like a super time to check in with him and here is what he had to say about his wonderful site.

Hello, Bob! How are you doing? How are things?

"Hello, I'm doing OK, thanks."

Congratulations on twenty years of your website being online! How does it feel to hit that landmark?

"I'm amazed. This started out as a hobby. I never expected it to go this far."

What do you think makes your website special and why do you think that fans respond to it the way that they do?

"When I was a kid, while other kids dreamed of being a cowboy, fireman, pro athlete etc.., I dreamed of being a Playboy photographer. I became a big fan of Hustler also. So I've always tried to incorporate the two into my photography. I strive to have Playboy quality with some Hustler raunch."

What have you seen change most in trans porn in your time making it?

"Trans porn on the internet was almost non-existent when I started. Now it is quite prevalent and still growing. Back in the early days, trans porn was a grass roots thing. Those of us shooting it did so because we preferred tgirls. So it was a small group of us in a niche genre. Now that corporate porn has moved in, it doesn't have that feel like when Steven [Grooby] and I started. I think of it like Walmart coming into a neighborhood and forcing the locally owned smaller stores out of business. The most unfortunate change is the effect piracy has had on all of us in the industry. I could not start now and have the kind of success I had then. The other change for me is how I find models. Back then, I approached girls I already knew, then expanded the search in the local club scene. Now I find most of my models on social networks and via referrals from other models and producers."

What do you love most about being affiliated with Grooby? How is the company to work with?

"Grooby is great. Steven gave me my start as a photographer for Grooby Girls, then partnered with me when I wanted to start Bob's Tgirls. So Bob's Tgirls would not even exist without Grooby. Grooby feels like a family environment. It's fun to be a part of."

What do you love most about making trans porn?

"Getting to meet and photograph the most beautiful tgirls, with some of them becoming my closest friends. Getting to set my own work hours is pretty cool too."

What performers inspire you most in your work?

"I can't list names here; there are too many and I would not want to leave anyone out. The models who enjoy the work and are open minded are the ones I that most inspire me."

If you could offer a single piece of advice to another pornographer who wanted the kind of long term success that you have, what would you share?

"Going back to question 4, that is difficult to answer."

What is coming up for you? What should fans be watching for?

"Lately, I have incorporated more femdom BDSM shoots. I enjoy doing those and want to do more of them."
