So much of the porn world's transgendered talent comes from Brazil that the country has set up a Chicks with Dicks advisory council. More half truths, faulty nomenclature, and common misconceptions after the gap. - G. Ponante

While "transwomen" seems to be the universally non-offensive term for male-to-female transgendered individuals who have not undergone or chosen not to undergo genital reassignment, the adult biz sticks to the almost-as-universally objectionable "tranny" which is, at the very least, not descriptive, or "shemale" or "shim", which are, but which don't sound as classy as "ladyboy".
Two studios have recently released titles featuring transwomen because the niche, popular enough to support a lifestyle already, is steadily gaining steam with porn consumers.
Lexington Steele's Black Viking Pictures has debuted "You'd Never Know" (open to dispute) and Defiance Films has come out with two "Trantastic" movies featuring transwomen and established female stars like Cytherea.
In an industry that doesn't bat an eyelash about spoon-feeding anal cream pies and stunts of that type, it is interesting to hear rumors about which male stars are actually "into" transwomen.
Case in point:
"(Releasing she-male movies) is strictly a business decision with my boss," a rep for one of the companies says, "but with the other company it's a little deeper than business."
Regardless, just like the little black dress in the other world, and the schoolgirl plaids in Porn Valley, it looks like the transwomen genre is here to stay. Can it be too long before our most mannish "female" celebrities fess up?
